Saw you walking yesterday and was amazed. My daughter is type 1 diabetic so obviously I think you are doing a great thing! Just saw your van/ball in Mt. Washington Walgreems (love it!)
Saw you walking through Mt. Washington Saturday morning. My husband and I actually passed you as you and Nice were walking past our son Prescott's memorial cross on Bardstown Rd. Thank you for walking for awareness, our family has been touched in many ways by diabetes and appreciate your walk! Sara Goodman
Erik Bendl has walked over six thousand miles for the cause of diabetes awareness. During the last six years he and his dog, named Nice, have walked in more than forty states and Washington D.C. to help the American Diabetes Association and encourage people to get healthy with exercise and diet to control and prevent diabetes. His is a simple message... "Love yourself. Go for a walk."
