A man we met yesterday at the US64 fuel cell and food mart(VeJay owner) just brought a generous donation in a check to the ADA from the Milltown Sons of the American Legion Squadron 332 - in memory of Randall Brooks- Thank you Sirs!
He also left wit me todays edition of The Corydon Democrat "Indiana's leading Blue Ribbon newspaper and Harrison County's news source since 1856"(www.corydondemocrat.com) with a front page feature of our story. Again Thankyou!
It is 1 P M and still raining. I am watching the traffic go by swirling up a spray that surely would not make Nice (the dog) live up to his name.though it is letting up a bit and we should be back on the road soon.

Hello World Guy...
A friend of mine in Marengo, Indiana posted your picture on facebook. I saw the web address on your globe and had to see the purpose of your journey. It took me awhile to find it, but found the post of why you are walking.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes about a year and a half ago. I also lost my mother 5 years ago due to diabetes. My father is currently 80 years old and suffers with diabetes too.
The church at the top of that hill outside Marengo, IN "Hillview Christian Church" is where I was senior minister only a few short months ago.
I just thought I would say thank you for helping others know how important it is to take care of themselves. I would love to have had more time with my mom as well. I have been walking/running so my son does not have to experience what I did in watching my mother suffer.
Thank again!!!
