End of the Day on Level Ground.

I met some interesting people today walking east from Bel Air: an eighty-one year-old man who interviewed me and wrote my answers on a kleenex box, a tattooed mother with nose piercing, a veteran who steered me in the right direction, a softball team who cheered us on from across the highway, a young family fishing by a pond, and many more. At the end of the day we have found ourselves in a church parking lot and I have just been given permission to stay and rest for the night. Tomorrow we will walk to Havre de Grace.

Sleep well!

My 4-year-old son spotted you on Wednesday on Rt. 152 & Carrs Mill Road (near Fallston Middle & High.) We were turning, so we didn't get a chance to figure out who you were. Today, because of a really unusual chain of events, we passed you on Rt. 22. There must have been a reason! When we finished our errand, we headed back home the long way hoping to spot you again and stop to take a picture. We didn't think we could miss you, but somehow we did.

I'm getting ready to call it a night, but I decided to check out your site to see what your journey is about. Interesting! I had gestational diabetes (which was controlled by diet) with my second son. We'll see if we can catch up with you before you leave Harford County. Good luck on your journey. Nice will love Maine! Things are much more dog-friendly there.

A friend had recently sent me to your blog, as she had come across you in Mount Airy, MD not too long ago. And surprisingly, as my 4yr old son Alex and I were on the way home this evening, there you and Nice (the dog) were, rolling the earth towards Havre de Grace. My son was quite impressed with the world, as he has all of the planets hanging from his bedroom ceiling, and was proud to point it out to me. We waved, but there was no room to pull over to say hi - good luck with your quest - my wife, son, and I spoke of you during dinner this evening. Maybe we will see you tomorrow, in Havre de Grace, we live in Bulle Rock, on the hill, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Make sure you visit the light house on the point, and look for the plaque that marks the very top of the bay, where it meets the Susquehanna River. Take Care.

IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN STANDING BEHIND THE OLD MAN WITH THE WHISTLE, I WOULD HAVE BEEN LAUGHING HILARIOUSLY. IT WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME THE GIGGLES & I'LL PROBABLY BE GIGGLING ALL DAY HERE AT HOME, JUST THINKING ABOUT THE GUY.

YOU ARE ONE IN A MILLION.

BE SAFE.
