I met a man.

On an intersection we stopped to talk,
He was enjoying his daily walk to the sunrise.
To see anyone but cars trucks or bikes was a surprise.
Even with a "bad" ankle he pressed on.
Why?
He loved himself.

Had I waited for the sun to rise I'd have missed the bright light, a chance meeting, an inspiring walker.

I met a man.

Raining, he stopped at the bar to take shelter.
He was enjoying his daily walk to spread awareness.
To see anyone but cars trucks or drunks was a surprise.
Even with the weight of world I knew he would press on.
Why?
He loved himself.

Had I waited to introduce myself I'd have missed the bright light, a chance meeting, an inspiring walker.

I thought a little plagiarism would be ok, the message ironically the same.
Stay well friend.
