The power of Fingerpaint

Yes, the previous post was a cry for help. I almost didn't post it thinking I should give Portland a chance. It's not only Portland but all large cities people live in a rush. I was pacing myself for a long steady walk through the night when I got a call from a woman (road angel) who saw the worldguy.org tags I crudely have painted on the world. She looked it up, read my last post prompting her and her husband to action. They came to give us a ride to the north side of Portland. Thinking I was just letting off steam turned out to be a cry for help. Thanks to Karla!

I wish I had heard of you three before you got to Saint Helens. I have a nice home and alone but for my little dog. We could have likely helped each other. I don't have a vehicle, though. :( Jayne

Wish you the best to help with Diabetes Awareness. I wish I had stopped and talked to you when you were in St. Helens. Your right we need to stop and visit with one another. I was good at doing it in Vernonia, Oregon. You have reminded of the importance of stopping and visiting. Keep on walking and riding. My father is diabetic. My daughter and I have low blood sugar. I have many theories on diabetes. Protein and foods with A,Cand E I think play an important part too. My daughters low blood sugar came to our attention when she had a blackout one morning. Medical test have not been able to show levels out of normal range. When we have her eat high protein snacks and see she has her daily vitamins with A,C, E and B's her blood sugar stays within normal range. I have even seen a difference in my low blood sugar. I feel the thyroid gland plays a part too. I hope one day we do figure out a way to prevent and cure diabetes. Keep up the hard work.

Good for you!! I saw you a number of times today between Sherwood and Newberg and it made me curious. I came home and Googled "man walking with world" because I figured you had a purpose. My grandmother, brother and many cousins have diabetes and I think this is a great cause. Thanks!!

My two nephews, son and I visited with you and made a donation along Hwy 99 in Newburg, Oregon. If you're along the Oregon Coast tomorrow, please let us know where you'll be so we can buy you two breakfast or lunch and celebrate your trek across Oregon!

I hardly expected to find you weren't a crazy Portlander :) Blessings to you, thank you for your hard work, Hopefully Portland area has redeemed itself in your eyes!
