Leaving the van in the parking lot we walked south on 99. Early we came to a "jersey" wall dividing the narrow pedestrian walk. I had to balance the world atop the wall that was very, very long. I bobbled once when someone slowly paced beside us but kept the World in control the full length. " The main thing is - don't get excited!" I talked to an officer from one of the four or five small cities we walked past. He gave me a patch. I stopped at the Sprint store to see how I could again send pics to Facebook. No luck. I had loaded the newest version two weeks ago and have not been able to share the sights. Apparently the link to my FB page from here is broken too. Oh, woe is me! How will I go on without a complete facebook experience? I met a man who offered his home as a stop for the night. At the time he said he was 3 miles away.6 would be closer to accurate. I had to push up a long hill then push down the longer opposite side because the wind was blowing so hard. The walk to my host's house was laborious from then on. I finally made it and after getting back with the support van I got a shower. It felt so good I fell quickly to sleep. This morning I will keep walking in this beautiful cool Oregon weather.

I saw you this afternoon. You were at the highway 99 and highway 18 split, between Newberg and Lafayette. Your very inspiring! I had a great grandmother who lost both of her legs to this nasty disease. Keep up the great work and keep that world moving!!
I just saw you in Westbound on Hwy 18. I might have snuck a video while waiting to turn. After looking up your web site, I was so impressed and intrigued. My husband is diebetic. I posted you all over Facebook! Lol I pray for you and your dogs safety. I wish I could have stopped and talked. I would have offered my house for a night but it's quite a but always. (15 miles or so) I will keep following your updates. WAY TO GO! Happy 4th!!!!!!
I just saw you in McMinnville by the Evergreen Airport. I took a picture and posted it on my Facebook page. My husband suffers from diabetes. I went to your website. Thanks for bringing awareness.

I too saw you today near the junction of Hwy 99 and 18 near Lafayette. As soon as I passed you, I pulled over to a safe part of the road and googled man walking with globe. This is where I learned all about you and Nice. I instantly posted your web page to my facebook page. What an inspiration! As a granddaughter of a grandfather who lost both legs to diabetes before he passed and also has three remaining grandparents living daily with the disease, I applaud your cause and sit here as I type this in total awe of your dedication. I pray for nothing but sunny skies, friendly smiles and kind hearts for Nice and you as your journey takes you to new places meeting new people to share your story with. God bless you both!!!
