I met the worldguy, in Hobe Sound, where we talked about his cause...Diabetes. And I learned that he lost his mom to the disease, which is what motivates this young man, to go the distance... My prayers are with you Eric as you travel along and may God bless you very much and may His will be done. Mary Halay Hobe Sound, Fl. 1-15-11
Hi! saw you and waved at you in Hobe Sound. I hope you got a bite to eat while you were here (you must be starving!)I hope you find a good place to stay tonight,at least its not TOO cold! Hopefully there are some good folks out there with an extra room for you. How far did you make it today?
Erik Bendl has walked over six thousand miles for the cause of diabetes awareness. During the last six years he and his dog, named Nice, have walked in more than forty states and Washington D.C. to help the American Diabetes Association and encourage people to get healthy with exercise and diet to control and prevent diabetes. His is a simple message... "Love yourself. Go for a walk."
When you see him on the road stop to say hello, walk with him or call him @ (502) 408-5772. http://main.diabetes.org/goto/teamworldguy
